Rules Of Usage

The following tracks are available for download for free and can also be remixed, used in video production and shared freely using Derivative Works Creative Commons licenses.

So here are the rules:

1. Any of the tunes below can be remixed and used in video production FREE of charge and royalty free under certain conditions of the Creative Commons license.
2. You can distribute your remixes or video productions for NON-COMMERCIAL purposes unless licensed with CC BY license.
3. You must create a link to the download page on this website.
4. Fully read the creative commons license which you can view by clicking the license icon on the download page.

All of the tracks that you can remix, cover or put in your video productions will have the following Creative Commons license icons:

PLEASE NOTE: Placement of ads in or on the video of NC licensed music is NOT ALLOWED. This means that Youtube Partner ads and uploading to Dailymotion is prohibited.

Music Video's Wanted

We need music video's for our netlabel tracks, so if you can make music video's and don't mind your video's being released for free under a Creative Commons license then grab our attention by downloading one of the tracks below and making a video from it and upload it to YouTube (remember to attribute with a link - see How To Attribute Our Tracks) and send us a mail with a direct link to your video's page.

Remember, BDWRekordings.com is a non-profit netlabel and makes no money from the music or video's, so if you do decide to do this work it may be without payment. But, it also means that you are free to upload the video's you create to your own youtube (or any other video site or website) channel without paying a single penny to BDWRekordings.com. If you make money on any video's using our NC tracks then you must pay royalties to the artists only. Together we can help promote each other.

Note to Professionals: This work may not be for you. But, if any of the artists on this free netlabel are impressed by what you have done for them on a really tight budget then they may want your paid for services when/if they make commercial releases.

What To Do

Simply download the tracks that we are allowing you to creative remixes of and snip them apart with your audio editor and remix in your sequencer.

What About Remix Parts?

We currently only give remix parts to signed artists or outside artists that we know are good and will release the remix via our netlabel.

The reason that we have changed it this way is simply because people where downloading our remix parts in the past and only a hand full of remixes where sent in. This lead me to believe that our samples where being used in other peoples tunes ILEGALY.

We are sorry for the few who wish to do legitimate remixes, but I have to protect my and other artists music.

Non-Commercial Explained

The Non-Commercial (NC for short) rule of the CC license means that the music must not be used to bring in revenue without paying the artist royalties. This may include banner advertising on the pages that you include the music.

However, we do not mind you putting banner ads on your pages or uploading these tracks to the likes of youtube as long as your not using them to SELL products or placing adverts directly on the video's. This will require you to pay royalties.
